the major east-west highway in the U.S, running more than
2,500 miles. It begins at Barstow, California
intersecting with Interstate 15. The eastern terminus
is in Wilmington, North Carolina. Through Arkansas, it
extends 284 miles, intersecting with Interstate 30 in Little
Rock, and with a spur route in Fort Smith of I-540.
Interstate 55: Interstate 55 begins at Laplace, Louisiana at
Interstate 10, and ends in Chicago at U.S. Highway 41,
otherwise known as Lake Shore Drive. 72 miles of
Interstate 55 run through eastern Arkansas, and it
