About Connecticut
Connecticut,
one of the
original thirteen colonies, serves as the gateway to the historic
New England region of
America.
Hartford serves
as the state capital and is home to over
120,000 of CT's
3,405,565 residents. Other major cities include
Bridgeport,
New Haven,
New London,
Norwich,
Stamford,
Torrington and
Waterbury.
As one New England's smallest states, CT enjoys close
proximity to urban centers, which include
Albany,
Boston,
Providence and New
York City. The majority of residents travel via the highway system
and experience a relatively short commute time. The exception to the short
commute time is I-95, which runs north to south through the center of
Connecticut. Interstate-95, also known as the
Connecticut Turnpike, is one of the most congested highways in the nation.
Connecticut,
U.S.A. truly embodies
the essence of
New England. With its vibrant communities, delightful New England
architecture and wealth of career opportunities, Connecticut remains an enviable
place to live.

truck accidents continue to increase? Even with these frightening scenarios and
