Interstate Reopens After A.M. Crash

"COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Interstate 70 on the city's east side is now reopened after a tractor-trailer crash closed a portion of the road Friday morning.
The rig ran off the side of the eastbound lanes at about 1 a.m. Investigators said the rig was pulling two trailers when the truck jackknifed, spun around and ruptured its gas tank as it crashed through the guardrail, NBC 4's Duarte Geraldino reported.
Officials said the truck fell 40 feet down an embankment. After the crash, two men inside were able to walk up to safety.
"It looks like it landed on the bushes and that absorbed a lot of the energy, and then it just slid downhill until it came up against some heavy trees," said Mike Dalton of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency."
