Accidents shut down freeway
By Heritage Newspapers
"A jack-knifed semi truck caused two lanes on east-bound to I-94, at Belleville road, to be closed for more than several hours last Thursday.
According to a press release, at approximately 8:10 a.m. the Van Buren Township Fire Department responded to the 18-wheeler semi-truck which was leaking diesel fuel onto the roadway after it had jack-knifed because of wet road conditions. The semi was blocking the center and right lanes of I-94.
The driver, who was uninjured, punctured a hole in his hydraulic fluid tank causing less than 100 gallons to spill on the roadway, according to the press release."
