I-5 offramp in Oceanside remains closed after truck crash

By Associated Press

"OCEANSIDE, Calif. The Mission Avenue offramp of southbound Interstate Five in Oceanside is closed after a tractor-trailer carrying 35-thousand pounds of frozen food overturned early this morning.

A California Highway Patrol official says patrolmen have to empty the trailer before they can turn it back upright and get the big-rig off the road. They expect to have the offramp reopen within the hour.

The driver suffered minor injuries. No other vehicles were involved but the truck knocked over a fire hydrant on the offramp."
