Rainstorms trigger wrecks
6 hospitalized following crash

By The Kentucky Post

"Six people were hospitalized Tuesday following a crash involving five vehicles, including two tractor-trailers, in Gallatin County that closed southbound Interstate 71 for more than five hours.

It was one in a string of wrecks during Tuesday's rainstorms that kept area police busy.

Problems began shortly after 2 a.m. when the driver of a tractor-trailer lost control on northbound I-75/71 in the Cut-in-the-Hill in Covington, hit the concrete median barrier and slid through a guardrail.

The wreck closed all northbound lanes for about three hours and the right lane and shoulder until almost noon. There were no injuries."
