freight hauler, is one of the main operating units of YRC
Worldwide. (LTL carriers consolidate freight from multiple
shippers in a single trailer.) Roadway Express operates a
fleet of some 8,900 tractors and 30,500 trailers from a
network of about 340 terminals. The company provides
long-haul, interregional, and regional freight
transportation services. Besides its US operations, Roadway
Express does business in Canada (through Reimer Express
Lines) and in Mexico. Parent YRC Worldwide also owns Yellow
Transportation and several other carriers.
