Wreck Involving Tractor-Trailer Shuts I-30

By Mark Agee

"Traffic was backed up on eastbound Interstate 30, near Beltline Road, early today because of a wreck involving two 18-wheelers and several other vehicles. By noon, only one lane was open.

Grand Prairie authorities had shut down the highway earlier in the day.

There were no life-threatening injuries in the 9:20 a.m. crash, just west of Beltline Road, a dispatcher said.

Arlington police closed the ramps from Texas 360 to I-30 to help alleviate a traffic backup that the dispatcher described as "a parking lot."
