"A Nashville-bound tractor-trailer truck caught fire today near Haletown on Interstate 24 in Marion County, causing delays for most of the day, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol dispatchers.

About 7 a.m. EDT the truck carrying oriental food blew two tires and its trailer caught fire, officials said.
The truck was full of 43,000 pounds of fish, rice and other food products and all of it cooked on the roadside, officials said.

The Haletown Fire Volunteer Fire Department put the fire out, but it took hours for heavy equipment to offload more than 20 tons of fish, rice and other burned foodstuff from the trailer, officials said.

No injuries were reported, but traffic was backed up for miles, dispatchers said.

The wreck was cleared up by 4 p.m. EDT, dispatchers said."
