Truck tragedy on I-80

"A West Sacramento man was killed Monday morning when his tractor-trailer rig drifted off the freeway in Vacaville and overturned, spilling a mass of cargo onto the roadway and halting traffic for more than four hours.
Mouveen Kumar, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
Around 6:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to easbound interstate 80 just east of the Pena Adobe Road overcrossing to find the 1996 Kenworth three-axel rig and its 53-foot trailer loaded with plastic containers in the center divider. The jacknifed rig blocked two lanes of traffic.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver, later identified as Kumar, suddenly swerved onto the freeway's tree-bordered shoulder, where the rig struck some branches, California Highway Patrol officials said. Kumar then swerved left, sending the tractor-trailer combination skidding clockwise across all four eastbound lanes.
